Jake ignored her comment about Chicago. He didn't want to start a fight with her. He'd end up getting way over heated and when that happened everyone he cared for was out the window. He had one bad temper and he'd rather not see it unleashed upon Siren. Why he cared about her so much, he didn't know. Sometimes he wished he didn't, he wished she was just like all the other girls; just a fling, or a one night stand. He's never gotten so deep before and now he's struggling to get out.
With a sigh, he shook his head. Don't say that Siren. Don't fucking say that. I wouldn't do that to you and you know it, he said, his jaw clenching. The tension in the air was thick and he wanted to get out of it. He needed to be alone, there was no doubt about it; something to take his anger out on would be nice.
Jake looked at her, his eyes lowering when she said she couldn't leave the Crypts. He figured as much. If he was in her situation he probably wouldn't leave either. A thought irked him. What if they've been seen together? That wouldn't do well at all, especially with that Carrie Rivers hanging around. She was the leader of the Crypts and she could be keeping tabs on him and Siren. His eyes raised along with a hand that reached out to touch her cheek. He leaned closer, their lips only inches apart, while his eyes stayed locked on hers. Siren... he whispered softly, his bottom lip brushing against her own. When his lips met hers, his eyes closed slowly. His tongue traced her full lips and after a few seconds, he pulled away and stood. To a romantic, that would've been a magical moment, but to Jake it was just a kiss; a form of goodbye perhaps. I'll...See you around, he said before turning and heading for the main gate that led to the rode.

[argh i'm trying. do you mind if i do one paragraph xD but i think i just threw in a twist lol.]
He ignored her, she would ignore him. As best as she could. Maybe all she needed was for him to be gone, maybe that would help just a little bit. She was dreaming and she knew it, so why bother to hide it. She would remember him for the rest of her life. Sure the pain would dull eventually, but her heart or herself would never be the same again.
She heard his words and shrugged. Whatever he wanted to think. She hoped he knew he was lying to himself. That's what a Disciple did, they were the dogs for the Bloods, much like the Legends were for her gang. But let him think what he wanted to. Maybe it would make his life easier.
Siren just watched him. But she knew he didn't feel like she did. He wouldn't ever. He didn't understand love. But you knwo what, that was okay. She was done with it. All she wanted was him, for one more night. To put this away for the night, and have thier final good bye. Like one of them was leaving town. She was startled out of her thoughts by her name, and then his lips. She sat there numbly. She didn't know what to do. But she also knew it didn't matter to him. A sigh escaped as he said good bye, and walked away. But she knew what she wanted. Would he give it to her? She hoped so. Standing up she ran after Jake. "Jake?" she whispered softly, "Can we put this away for a night? I don't want to say goodbye yet..." She was about to cry but she blinked a few times to clear them away. Now was not the time for more tears. And she knew that.

Jake knew the Disciples were like little pets to the Bloods, only there to help out in gang fights or do their dirty work. But he wouldn't have let that be the case for her. He'd let everyone know that she was important to him and wasn't some puppet out to do some crap for the Bloods. It would almost be like she was his right hand girl. But he also knew, that wouldn't cut it for Siren. He knew how she was and no matter what Jake said, she didn't want to be the Bloods foot stool.
He let out a sigh when he heard fast footsteps behind him. Jake stopped and turned only to see Siren. This only made it harder for him to walk away before he got in too deep. Put it away for the night? Oh he knew if he did that then it would make it even harder to say goodbye. Didn't she understand that? But he couldn't just say no, that would only make matters worse. And he definitely didn't want that. He looked at her, then away towards the rode. Well what did she have in mind? It was late, and he was a tad bit tired, so going to a club was out of the question.
Well, he figured he could have some fun with her as a goodbye. He really didn't want to say goodbye at all. He had to admit, Siren grew on him a little. It was too bad she turned out to be one of the Crypts. He took her hands in his and offered a small smile. Well as soon as you stop crying, enlighten me on what you'd like to do at 1:00 in the morning, he said with a small smirk, trying to lighten up the mood. Maybe it would be nice to end it on a happy note to avoid any awkwardness in the future.

What was life, if not a game? And the way you played showed how long you would last? Siren had not been playing the game of life well. She had done stupid things, and she continued to screw up. But she would never do something stupid for someone else. Her screw ups made her who she was, but screwing up for someone else was not an option. Sure it would change her, but it wasn't her desicion it was a more of go do this, and you jumped. Siren was not that kind of person. She didn't jump when told, and she most certainly did not ask how high. That would be a laugh, seeing Siren as someone's lacky. Even she, herself couldn't picture that. And it would never happen, not even for Jake. So one thing was gonna happen, he would accept her as a crypt or walk away and not get a second chance.
She was kicking herself mentally as she stood there. There were so many things going through her head. Stupid being on the top of that list. But it was a little late to being doing that. Get over yourself already. Grow up, get a life and get over yourself. Siren was driving herself crazy. She was acting like a little girl. She knew she had fallen head over heels for him, but she was regretting it at the moment. Why did it have to be him? Why, why, why? He was the worst choice she oculd have ever made. So why had she made the choice of Jake Brookes. Because she had. What did it matter anymore.
A slight smile graced her face. Breathe. Her eyes were burning slightly, but she was done with tears. Okay, I'm done," she told him. She was. She would never cry over a guy again. They so won't worth it. "I don't know what to do though. You tell me Mister New York," she responded slightly teasingly. But they had to get out of the graveyard. This was giving her bad thoughts, bad memories, and it was threatening her with another breakdown. But she would not give him that satisfaction. Never ever again.
