I never let it rain on my parade, but you know it just...happens. "Come on kids! Go!" a older women shouted to a few kids. She was probably watching them or something. Who knows. Carrie jogged next to them, she looked at them. Her mind was out of it. She was out of it. A soft sigh escaped her as she continued past them. She was wearing jogging pants and a purple sports bra. It went under her chest, the jogging pants moved up an' down in a slow rhythm as she jogged, being loose around her legs. Why was she here I bet your wondering? Jogging. You know, getting into shape. Every girl wants to have a look. With her iPods in her ears, she was ignoring everything around her, trying to get her thoughts into her mind.
She was getting lose, getting all her anger out and trying to enjoy the silence. Well with the song. She loved music, she wasn't into something else. Shes tried to sing, she didn't like the rock way. She flowed with the country though. Carrie looked around her, even if she had her music on, she could still see and smell. Right? The hot sun rayed down on her, it wasn't that hot, but hot enough to take a jog, she slowed down a bit and pulled the jacket on, zipping it up to the middle of her chest. This was boring, but something to do. She couldn't become lazy...now that would ruin her life. She had things to do and such. She needed to move, she hated staying in one place. But if its a bar...oh you could bet she'd stay there and as long as she wanted. A sweet aroma hit her nose. She blinked and looked in the direction. A party. Cake and all the jazz. She was hungry, she'd admit.
But she didn't feel like jogging to get something. Maybe after this. She'd grab alittle something. She keep her nice jog to a good beat. Not slowing down or going faster. She liked to keep it at a gentle pace. So it wouldn't hurt her later. Carrie was very careful with her body. She watched what she ate, how she jogged. She cares for it like most girls. Though...when shes drinking i don't think thats really helping your body, but...i know it feels great to drink. But thats not helping your body at all. She didn't smoke, do drugs. Oh yes. Okay she has smoked once before. She didn't like it. Didn't make her feel good either. She may have had wanted to throw up when she did it. It tasted so bad. How could people like that? How could they deal with it? Thats just gross...
But of course many would ask her the same thing about drinking. Drinking it could kill you, but so could smoking. But..you know this. Right? About anything these days could kill you. Almost anything. Carrie looked forward, keeping her eyes on the sidewalk. She was passing many people. Her cheeks were flushed now. She slowed down to a walk and continued her way. She wasn't going to stop, not yet. She looked behind her then to the sides. Then looked forward. She felt safe here, for some reason. But that could change within a blink of an eye. Irritating. She hated when she felt good in a place then something bad would happen. It irritated Carrie alot.
Would that happen to this place? She didn't know. And she had come here to relax a bit. Truly she didn't want to relax. If things started to get out of control, she'd defiantly was going to leave and head to a place to eat. Not stand here and watch something awful happen. She'd rather be the one doing the bad thing, you know just to make something alittle interesting. Heh. Carrie looked down, she snorted lightly, pulling her knife back down as much as she could. You never could be careful. She looked around her, her lips moved with the lyrics of the song. Enjoying the song, personally she loved it. She liked it alot, but you don't find many people these days who love country.
She didn't mind it as long as she was calm. That was her goal right now. To be calm and relax. So far...wasnt happening at all. Wasn't happening at all. Carrie's eyes looked before her. A couple on a bench. She blinked once then looked to where she was heading. Thats something she hadn't seen in awhile. Two lovers. Carrie didn't love anyone. She hardly even loved herself. Of course when her step mom and step dad was around she loved them. But...now everything has changed and for the better. Or is it for the worst?

Life didn’t wait for you at all. No, it flew right by you and just left you guessing. As Nate sat on one of those oversized rocks that people tend to like adding to parks like this. It amazed him that he wasn’t something like the gang leaders shown in movies. He wasn’t corrupt, he wasn’t a drug addict and he wasn’t dead. He hadn’t died yet and he had barely been shot. Most of his scars came from knife wounds. Though, as he looked over at a couple kissing and some other events that made him sink farther into his own thoughts, he realized that sometimes life wasn’t worth it. That there was no point in living because eventually you lost everything close to you and you were left alone and in pain. It was moments like these that could make another person think that Nate had a serious case of depression. Days like these where Nate wished that life would pass him by and one of the few times in his life, made him wish he had stayed with his father.
Of course, he would never have done that. Even if he wished for it on certain days, he would never go through all that suffering. That man had been corrupt, that man had been everything that Nate knew he wasn’t. His eyes narrowed down as he looked down at the water and a soft sigh escaped his lips. There was no chance that he could get past this part of his mind. He had overcome depression before, but this was one of those things that just wouldn’t leave him be. He could take anti-depressants, he could fight it for all his life, but these thoughts would plague him for his whole life. He didn’t care much though, he didn’t worry at all. He knew he could fight it and as much of an ass he seemed like, he was just…dark inside.
He caught a quick glance at a girl who was jogging. He thought that he knew her, but right now, he couldn’t be sure and personally, he didn’t care much. He had thoughts to sort through. Though, by this time, a walk felt like it would clear his head. He felt so mixed right now, but as he always did like this, he slipped his hand to the gun in his pocket and looked around. He could see people attacking him here. Even though he had proved himself, survived seeing his own mother be killed and even survived a knife through the shoulder, he was never sure of his safety. He would never let people see that in him because it would only make him seem weak, but otherwise, there was no chance for him to survive for so many more years.
He would have loved to start a family, quit all of this shit and leave it behind him, but obviously, he could never do that. He would always have a police record, they would always come looking for him and he would always have enemies in gangs. He would always have people out to kill him and there was no avoiding it. Though, in the mindset that he was in, it didn’t matter much. In his eyes right now, the whole world would drag him down; it would slowly kill him like it was doing to his mind. No, Nate wasn’t going crazy. He was just slipping into his own dark thoughts and that was enough to worry some people. He didn’t care much though; what other people thought of him was beyond him. Though, his dark eyes were cast down at the ground, he didn’t care where he was going at this point.
A poem his younger brother had written once came into his head and a weak smile came over him. His younger brother was the very person that he worried for. He had left him in a bad place, but he knew the kid could survive. His brother was strong, just like Nate was. They could both survive, but his brother wouldn’t become low enough to join a gang. No, he would be the honest worker who fought and worked unfair hours for just enough money to get by. Now, his brother would only be two years younger than him. Sixteen, hopefully still in school, but who was Nate to judge if he wasn’t. After all, that kid could obviously have written a book by now. The very poem that was in his head reminded him of the fact that they had both faced childish challenged together. This poem had been written right after their dog had died.
His brother had taken it so hard. He had cried for hours when their father had told him. Nate sighed softly as he looked up just in time to recognize that girl who had been jogging. The grip of his gun tightened, but he wasn’t holding near the trigger. It was Carrie. Carrie Rivers. One of those people that he had fallen out with and just had never bothered to put it together. He looked up at her carefully. His eyes memorizing her face and such. He stopped in front of her and gave a weak smirk. He would still act like an asshole, but he didn’t want to get into a fight. He wasn’t in the mood to start it. Oh well.
”Been a while there Carrie.”

I never let it rain on my parade, but you know it just...happens. Carrie's mind wondered as she didn't even watch where she was going, but then she heard a voice. ”Been a while there Carrie.” she stopped to a halt. 'Who in the hell...' she thought. She looked at him, the smirk made her wonder...alot. She looked at him, taking in his every feature. Then it dawned on her. Nate. Nate Mitchells. She looked at him, thinking for a minute. She had an idea. Mess with him. She had changed since the last time she saw him, lets see how far she could...hm..'go' with him. She thought for a minute. How to mess with him though. That was making her wonder. She looked to the side, seeing others pass by. "I don't know who the hell you are, but i have a walk to finish. Now move." she hissed. She looked at him, a smirk on her lips.
How could she be...so so rude to him? She didn't know if he was the same but that smirk. Hm...who knows. She didn't care how she acted towards him, she was acting how she was around others. She didn't care who you were or who you were towards her. Many things popped into her mind, thinking about how long its been since she saw him, she could hardly remember him. But they were in a gang together right? Oh boy. He could remember her and she couldn't remember. Oh boy she felt soo bad. Not, she didn't give a crap. She looked at him for a minute then walks right past him. Her mind completely ignoring him and all her thoughts together.
Plus...he was a Disciple, she knew this. She knew everyone. Well she tried. She had nothing else to do, except remember there names. She put her hands into her jacket pockets a bad habit of hers. But she didnt really care. Besides she had a little surprise in her pockets. He of course wouldnt know unless he did try something for her. She had only used this against a man because her touched her a few times. The rest...for other reasons. She mostly used it for defense and defense alone. She looked ahead of her. She didnt know if he'd follow her, but if he was an ass. He'd follow her. She knew that.
Of course she could be wrong. She hated it when she wasd wrong and others were right. But right now. She wanted to finish a walk, then go get something to eat. He wasnt in her mind right now. Talking to him? Haha i dont think so. He wasnt on her to-do list. Finish her walk, then eat, then go home. She looked forward, watching others pass by her. Irriating...she looked behind her at him, then looked forward, ignoring him and everyone else behind her. She turned the volume up, so she couldnt hear anything around her. Yes a fault, but right now she didnt care. The only way he could talk to her, was take them out. But that right there would piss her off.

Nat e was enough of an asshole to follow her. Actually, he doubted that she would forget him because he had a feeling that when they had first met, people had seen him as a brat. He actually didn’t blame them because he had been getting used to life on the streets. It was weird how that could completely change a person. Though, he didn’t need to think of that too much. He caught up with her and pulled a pair of aviators out of his back pocket. He knew when people were on the edge of attacking, well, no he didn’t, but when you were a guy and purposely trying to annoy someone, you tended to want to protect yourself. Which was why he brought sunglasses and weapons with him where ever he went. It was really sad when that happened. Though, it wasn’t too much of his fault. It was the world’s fault. That’s right, everyone else in the world was wrong.
That’s one of the reasons he was considered an ass. Though, he didn’t mind. Gave him a reputation that people kept in mind while talking with him. Though, he caught up with Carrie and smirked. She probably recognized him, if she didn’t, he would remind her because he was bored and he didn’t want to be thinking anymore. He looked down at her and gave a short laugh, ”So, what’s bugging ya? Got a stick shoved up ya…” He looked at the kids and shook his head, screw the kid, ”…ass?” The kid’s eyes were wide, but Nate gave him a shrug. Nate wasn’t one for protecting a child’s innocence. Nate had been ruined quite early, actually the day they had moved to NYC and he had seen a shooting.
Sure, cursing wasn’t as bad, but still, it ruined what they thought about how to speak. Knowing his luck, the kid would turn out to be a millionaire. Well, it was up to the kid. Nate had chosen this life instead of being dragged around by his father for his whole life. He kept up with Carrie and ignored the weird looks he was getting. He didn’t look a day older than he was, so he didn’t seem like a stalker…Ok, he could have, but he didn’t give a shit about anyone else and what they thought of him. They could all rot in hell. Though, he cast another glance at Carrie. She had certainly grown up, but he wasn’t thinking about her sexually. Gang leaders didn’t sleep with other gang leaders. It just caused a whole lot of shit that Nate wasn’t willing to go through.
”So, besides having a stick up your ass, what have ya been doing as the gang leader of those…what is your band called again?” he asked faking ignorance. He knew he had a bad memory, he knew he was bound to forget everything, but that wasn’t why he didn’t know her gang. He was going to push her. He was going to make sure that she couldn’t stay calm and ignore him. After all, everyone had their breaking point. Carrie’s would come eventually and then Nate could torture the heck out of her. Of course, he wouldn’t push it to the point where he had some sort of weapon in his system. He had been down that road way to many times already. Oh well, annoying her would be fun.

She snorted at the first remark. Her? A stick up her ass? Hn. Yeah right. "Well Nate Mitchells, there are alot of things bugging me. Like you for example." She hissed at him. He had grown alot since she saw him last. He..was still a brat or now an ass. Aw well, couldn't change him. Now she had meet all the leaders, why did she have to be the only female? She liked being leader of some, but this...was ridiculous now. She looked at him, well ignoring him had failed. She looked forward, pacing herself. She was almost done and she was so ready to leave, right now. But would he let her? Hn. She didn't think he would. He seemed to like bugging the hell out of her. Thats what it was going to turn into, she guessed.
Carrie's eyes looked at him, taking in his every feature. Hm...he wasn't bad looking at all. Very cute. She looked at him in the face, no...drop dead handsome. Some hairs, her bangs, fell in her face. 'Annoying...' she thought. Very annoying, she didn't even want to remove them, she knew they would fall in her face again, no point in doing it, when it was going to turn into a damn cycle. Her remove them, then they would fall in her face again. No way was she going to do that over and over again. She looked forward. 'Damn headphones...they aren't loud enough. fuck it.' she thought bitterly, she pulled them out and turned off her iPod and put it in her pockets of her jacket. Damn it was hot. She pulled off her jacket and put it around her waist.
She didn't know if he could piss her off, but she would let him try. She wasn't in the mood to be messed with, but let him try and tick her off. She was ignoring the first part. She didn't have a stick up her ass. "Hn. I don't have a stick up my ass." She muttered to him. She wasn't pissed at all. She was fine. She didn't know how he could piss her off, all he could do was try. She looked at him when she heard the last question. 'Is he fucking dumb? Or did i hear him wrong?' she wondered. "Well I see you not just an ass, your also a dumbass. I'm not even answering the question." She wasn't going to answer the question. She wasn't even going to talk to him. She could ignore him pretty well.
If she put something to her mind, oh hell would she do it. She could ignore him easily. She closed her eyes. She wasn't through talking to him just yet. She knew he had more to say. She knew that. He was going to bug her right? Or was he? She didn't know. Why would she even answer a question he knew the answer too. He wasn't a dumbass, but if he keep acting like this. That might as well be along his other title. He was an ass and a dumbass. She wondered if he was ignorant as well. Would suit him perfectly. Hopefully if he was, she wouldn't be around to see it. She hated ignorant people. But you know just another problem in this hell hole to go through. Yes...earth was a hell hole, soon Carrie would leave this damned place. She brushed her hairs out of her eyes, but they fell back. Okay...not annoying. Irritating.

He couldn’t help, but smirk even darker…if that was possible and made sense…So, he was bugging dear Carrie Rivers. Aww, too bad because he was bored out of his mind and didn’t want to go off and get bloody today. Maybe the fact that he had been too thoughtful earlier and he didn’t have enough of a fight in him for now. [n]“So, ya say I’m bugging you and that you don’t have a stick up your ass? Psh, I doubt that second part. Seriously, you got stuck up.” He looked down at her with a simple expression. He didn’t need to think too hard about this girl. She was just Carrie, maybe a bit more stuck up, but she was still that girl that he had been in a gang with all those years ago. Funny how the years changed a person and made them just a bit more insane. Well, that was in Carrie’s case, not in his.
”Ya know, some people would take offense to dumb-ass. I don’t deny being an ass, I’m quite proud of it actually. Though, I know you’re the leader of the Crypts. I don’t forget too easily.” Plus, she was an enemy leader, which was something that wouldn’t go over well. The hand in his pocket fingered his gun. He was just being wary because someone in his position always had to be wary. He would be amazed if he made it past the next two years. He had a feeling he would, but fate was unpredictable. That was about as religious as he got though. He only believed in religion.
”So, Carrie, honey, watcha doing recently? Besides killing a few of my mates.” He said the last part with a bit of resentment. He didn’t like having his gang mates killed. Actually, he didn’t like having any competition, but that was something that couldn’t be helped when you lived in a big city as this. His eyes narrowed slightly before he slipped a tiny knife from his pocket and played with it a bit. He saw a few parents pull their children back, but it wasn’t like he cared much. They could go fuck themselves and he wouldn’t even give them a second glance. He was too caught up in bothering Carrie for now. ”Though, I guess it’s only fair, have you noticed how many members of your gang are missing?” Ok, so he had killed two of those who had attacked his gang.
He may have been feared and hated, but he was a good leader. He wouldn’t let anything unfair happen to his gang without some sort of retaliation. He wasn’t going to let having his men be killed and let his gang members think that he was some sort of weak leader who would let them be picked off. Nate chuckled as he thought of the dumping spot he had used for the bodies. It was so funny to see that he was so clever. No one would guess where he had put those bodies. ”So, Carrie, whatcha gonna do this time? Keep running or actually retaliate?” He just kept on bugging her. He wanted to see how he could push her.

She looked at him, thinking for a few minutes. Hes annoying and irriating. She wasnt going to give in to him, she was better than that. She looked at him still. Thinking. "Hn. I dont kill unless needed to Mitchells, tell your 'mates' to stay off my turf and out of my face and i wont kill them." she said, looking at him. A solid smirk on her face, she must admit it wzas funn messing and killing them. But she'd tell no one that. She couldnt believe herself when she looked at the two. She just shrugged it off and went to her hideout, hiding the two bodies. She looked ahead, thinking about a lot of things. She wondered what he did to hers.
She grunted. "I have noticed. No need to bring it up. Now if you exucse me. I'm leaving." She was going to get something to eat, she looked at him then looked away, walking towards where she could find something to eat. He wasnt on her to do list anyways. "See you later Mitchells," she said, lifting a hand up in parting. She was leaving, there was nothing he could do. She was glad he wasnt like that Jake Brookes, he was irritating as well. She srcunched up her nose. She remembered when she first meet him.
She grunted. 'The asshole...i hate him so much. Aw well, good thing he is handsome though.' she thought with a smirk. She didnt know where he was or what he was doing at all. All she knew they were enemies thats all that mattered. She was going to stay away from him. Thats what she knew the most. She closed her eyes, she was going to ignore the boy she just walked away from each other. He seemed to have changed, but she really didnt know. They had been away from each other a long time.
She hardly remembered him, but all she knew he was an ass and a dumbass. Good to know eh? That was all she wanted, all she wanted to know. She opened her eyes, her mind wandering what she should eat tonight. Maybe she should just go home and find something instead of spending her money. She really didnt care, but all she had on her mind was to eat then go home and relax. That was her plan, nothing was going to change her. Nothing. She looked forward, she pushed her hands father into her pockets, her soft hand touched the knife. It was hidden.
As her weapons were hidden, many knew this. But where they where who knew. She hoped Nate didnt follow her. That would...be irritating.
